DUSHANBE, 03.04.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Several tourists continued their trip to Tajikistan following quarantine in Khorog due to coronavirus outbreak, reports the Committee for Tourism Development.

“Tourists were quarantined in Khorog because of coronavirus outbreak. They expressed satisfaction with the conditions and level of service in the medical institution. Following quarantine, they continued their trip along the route Khorog — Darvoz — Kulob — Norak – Dushanbe,” the Committee noted.

On Wednesday, the leadership and employees of the Committee for Tourism Development visited tourists who were delayed in Tajikistan.

Yesterday, tourists, accompanied by Committee employees, using the services of the Orient Adventur travel agency, visited the sights of Dushanbe, including Kokhi Navruz Palace, museums, recreation parks, as well as trade and service centers.

“Tourists expressed their gratitude for the high level of service at tourist sites and confidently stated that Tajikistan will achieve significant tourism development in the nearest future and will become one of the most developed tourist countries in the region, as it has huge recreational resources and attracts foreign tourists with its unique natural beauty”, the Committee added.

The Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the German Embassy in Tajikistan are taking measures to repatriate tourists home.
