Coronavirus Vaccination Begins in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 23.03.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Istiklol medical complex hosted an official ceremony to start vaccination against the COVID-19 among vulnerable groups of the population. The governmental corresponding decree was signed on March 22 by President Emomali Rahmon.
The decree approved the composition of the Republican Commission for the Coordination of Immunization.
According to the decree, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population was instructed to develop and approve an action plan for vaccination against the COVID-19 in Tajikistan at a certain stage, to bring it to the attention of local administrations in a timely manner and responsible medical institutions of cities and districts.
Additionally, the Ministry of Health was instructed to timely deliver the drug for coronavirus to the medical institutions. In each of them, it is necessary to create favorable conditions for vaccination among doctors.
The ministries and departments, local administrations, state television and radio channels and other media should take concrete measures to create favorable conditions for the organized and successful vaccination against the COVID-19 among employees of their industries who belong to vulnerable groups, in order to inform the population, to widely cover the immunization process throughout the country.
The Committee for Religion, Ordering of Traditions, Celebrations and Rituals was ordered to take part in promoting the importance of vaccination against the COVID-19 among the population.
