Tajik and Kyrgyz Interior Ministers Meet in Sughd Region

DUSHANBE, 07.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Minister of Internal Affairs Ramazon Rakhimzoda met with his Kyrgyz counterpart Ulan Niyazbekov.
The meeting focused on a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation between the internal affairs bodies.
The parties expressed support for joining effort to promote security and stability in the border areas.
The ministers also discussed issues of strengthening cooperation in the field of combating crime, terrorism, extremism,drug trafficking, cross-border crime, as well as topical issues of mutual interest.
Special attention was also paid to strengthening ties between the heads of the internal affairs bodies of the border regions and specialized units of the two ministries.
