DUSHANBE, 29.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, at 13:05, at the section of the Golovnaya water distribution point located in the upper reaches of the Isfara River near the village of Khojai Alo of Isfara, Kyrgyz servicemen opened fire on the servicemen of the Tajik Border Troops.
This incident occurred in the light of the violation by the Kyrgyz side of previously reached bilateral agreements. Attempts are being made by the neighboring country to illegally seize the Golovnoy water distribution point.
According to the maps of 1924-1927, as well as 1989, this object is wholly owned by Tajikistan and since 1968 has been used for irrigation and water supply of the border regions of the republics of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
