President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon Visited Dusti District

DUSHANBE, 28.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited Dusti in order to get acquainted with the living conditions of the population and attend a number of opening ceremonies.
President Rahmon starting his visit by attending the opening of the central stadium with a seating capacity of 3,000 seats, and the unveiling ceremony of the National Flag Square with a 36-meter flagpole in Dusti district.
The opening of the Cultural and Recreational Park, and the Dusti Cultural Palace with 300 seats built by local entrepreneurs, as well as an administrative building of the Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan, followed the list.
While visiting the Abdurahmoni Jomi farm, which specializes in growing pomegranates, President Rahmon visited the exhibition of agricultural products and folk handicrafts.
The farmers here utilize an area of 5080 hectares, 314 hectares of which is dedicated to potatoes, 1833 hectares to vegetables, and 1370 hectares to melons. Just this year the farmers have harvested over 30,000 tonnes of grains, 5,209 tonnes of potatoes, over 68,000 tonnes of vegetables, and 57,000 tonnes of melons, totalling over 812 million somoni.
