Tajikistan Receives Another Batch of Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccines

DUSHANBE, 16.12.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday evening, 141,570 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines were delivered to Tajikistan at the initiative of the government as part of the COVAX mechanism, reports the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
Earlier this week Tajikistan received 157,950 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines and 302,400 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines.
The vaccines have been introduced to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to provide immunization to citizens.
As of December 15, 3,386,686 people or 58.1% have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Tajikistan. More than 2.7 million or 47.3% have received both doses of the vaccine.
The immunization campaign against COVID-19 is ongoing in all areas of Tajikistan.
