DUSHANBE, 16.12.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan and Pakistan stand for the creation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan. This was announced on December 14 by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon following talks with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif.
“We are most interested in restoring lasting peace, stability and national harmony in the long-suffering land of Afghanistan,” said Emomali Rahmon at a press conference in Islamabad.
In this context, according to him, the parties emphasized the need to create an inclusive government in Afghanistan, taking into account the broad participation of political and ethnic forces.
“We also supported constructive efforts at the international and regional levels,” he added.
He also stressed that Tajikistan and Pakistan have a common or similar position on major international and regional issues.
The President of Tajikistan noted that the meeting with Sharif in detail focused on issues of cooperation in the field of security.
“We emphasized our commitment to continue jointly countering modern dangers and threats,” Emomali Rahmon said.
