Tajik Rescuers Start Search and Rescue Operations in Turkiye

DUSHANBE, 10.02.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, rescuers of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense began search and rescue operations in the province of Kahramanmaras of Turkiye, which was seriously damaged by the earthquake.
40 rescuers examine and dismantle the rubble of destroyed buildings.
“Our rescuers work with maximum efficiency, because in the conditions of such catastrophic destruction, every minute is precious to save lives. Rescuers use special technical means designed to search for people under the rubble,” the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense said.
A meeting was also held between the head of the rescue group of the Committee and the head of the Commission for the consequences elimination. The location of the work of Tajik rescuers was determined at the meeting.
