DUSHANBE, 25.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) — On July 24 of this year, at 17:30, a conflict occurred in the border region of Tajikistan with Kyrgyzstan. An eight-vehicle motorcade belonging to the residents of the Vorukh rural community was moving towards the city of Isfara for the wedding of their children. Near the entrance to the village of Oksoi, a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, a resident of the village of Oksoi in a neighboring country, who was driving a Mercedes-Benz car with the registration number 134 ACJ 03 KG under the influence of alcohol , blocked the road of cars, under the pretext that one of the cars obstructed his movement. Then he gets out of the car and throws stones at the cars of Tajik citizens. As a result, various parts of 3 cars were broken and 4 citizens of Tajikistan suffered minor injuries.

After cjming of local authorities and law enforcement officials of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to the scene of the incident, negotiations were held and the conflict was ended.

The situation on the state border of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan is stable. The bilateral joint commission determines the main causes and factors of the conflict between the citizens of the two countries.
