Tajik Prosecutor General’s Office and the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation Discuss Further Steps

DUSHANBE, 23.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 21, a virtual meeting was held between the leadership of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Tajikistan and the President of the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (Eurojust) in the Hague of the Netherlands Ladislav Hamran.
The meeting focused on issues of establishing direct cooperation with Eurojust and planning further steps for cooperation between the two institutions.
It was emphasized that it is timely and appropriate to establish the exchange of investigative information and fulfill each other’s requests for the extradition of criminals and the provision of legal assistance in the investigation of transnational crimes, especially terrorism and extremism, terrorist financing, drug trafficking, cybercrime, human trafficking, legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime and contributes to achieving significant results.
