DUSHANBE, 16.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On October 16, per instruction of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, the next meeting of the heads of governmental delegations on the border delimitation and demarcation Saimumin Yatimov and Kamchybek Tashiev took place in Buston of Sughd region, reports the State Committee for National Security.

The heads of delegations expressed satisfaction with the progress of the parties’ implementation of agreements on describing the passage of the project line of the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border in the remaining sections.

It was given specific instructions to the topographic working groups and working groups on legal issues of the governmental delegations on the border delimitation and demarcation to intensify work and resolve all existing border issues.

While summarizing the activities of the working groups, the heads of the delegations again particularly emphasized the importance of signing Protocol No. 44 of October 2, 2023 in the implementation of all work and accelerating the process of delimitation of the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border and expressed their readiness to strictly implement its provisions.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
