DUSHANBE, 19.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – As part of the implementation of the recommendations of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030, the Asian Conference on Disaster Reduction will be held in Dushanbe tomorrow with the participation of 30 Asian countries.

The special attention will be paid to issues of cooperation in the field of disaster risk reduction, issues of implementation of the Sendai Framework in the member countries of the Asian Center for Disaster Reduction.

Particular attention will be also paid to discussing progress in strengthening disaster risk management systems through the exchange of experiences on the specific nature of disasters in landlocked countries, as well as experiences and lessons learned from recent major disasters in member countries, new initiatives and approaches by member countries and partner organizations to prepare for complex disasters.
