Role of the CSTO in Ensuring Stability and Security in Central Asia Discussed in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 20.12.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The international conference entitled “The Role of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Ensuring Stability and Security in Central Asia” took place yesterday in Dushanbe.
The event focused on the priorities of the CSTO and its counteraction to today’s challenges to ensure security and stability in the Central Asian region, the contribution of Tajikistan to the CSTO activities, the activities of Tajikistan within the CSTO to ensure peace, security and stability in the region.
It was noted that in recent years the situation in the world has changed dramatically. Every year the CSTO becomes a more effective and sought-after mechanism in ensuring security and stability in the region.
Annual training allows to keep in good shape and improve the command and control system, maintaining combat readiness and coherence of the CSTO troops.
It was highly appreciated the cooperation of Tajikistan within the CSTO to ensure regional security.
The conference participants also discussed the prospects and development of this organization.
