On July 4 in Astana at the meeting of the Council of Heads of the SCO member states the leaders approved the proposals on improvement of the SCO activities.
This strategic document, among other things, implies the development and signing by the SCO member states of an international treaty regulating the goals, objectives, functions and powers, structure and staffing of the SCO Anti-Drug Center in Dushanbe. The negotiation process to conclude the treaty will begin immediately after the Astana summit.
