Joint Meeting of the Tajik and Kyrgyz Government Delegations on the Border Delimitation and Demarcation Held in Bishkek

DUSHANBE, 21.02.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On February 21, a Joint Meeting of the Government Delegations of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic on the delimitation and demarcation of the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border was held in Bishkek under the leadership of Saimumin Yatimov and Kamchybek Tashiev, reports the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the heads of the Government delegations heard information from the heads of the topographic working groups and the heads of the working groups on legal issues of the Tajik and Kyrgyz Government delegations on the border delimitation and demarcation and approved the results of the work done to prepare the final documents for the delimitation of the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border.
The parties initialed the draft Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic on the Tajik-Kyrgyz state border, the Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic on the construction and use of highways, arrangement and use of the Intersection of highways and the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic on ensuring access to water and energy facilities and gave instructions to begin the procedure for domestic coordination of the relevant bilateral international Agreements.
Following the results of the Joint Meeting, a corresponding protocol was signed.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
