DUSHANBE, 26.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – A delegation of the Assembly of Representatives (Lower House of Parliament) of the Republic of Tajikistan is taking part in the 20th United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF-2025), being held in Lillestrøm, Kingdom of Norway, under the theme “Shared Principles for a Safe Digital Future.”

Speaking on the topic “Strengthening Institutional Resilience to Online Information Abuse and Promoting Information Integrity in Central Asia,” MP Zafar Alizoda emphasized that global knowledge exchange and cooperation within the IGF-2025 provide an essential platform to develop effective national policies that ensure information integrity and align regulatory frameworks with international standards.

The forum serves as a multistakeholder platform that brings together government officials, parliamentarians, civil society, academia, the private sector, and technical experts to exchange views and practices on digital governance. Key areas of focus include emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital innovation, and inter-parliamentary cooperation in the digital era.
