Tajikistan Strengthens International Cooperation in Civil Defense

DUSHANBE, 14.07.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – A delegation of Tajikistan, headed by the Chairman of the Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense, Rajabali Rahmonali, participated in the 3rd Extraordinary Session of the General Assembly of the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO), held on July 10 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The session focused on pressing issues of international cooperation in civil defense, enhancing resilience to emergencies, and strengthening the capacities of national civil protection systems.
The Tajik delegation visited key institutions of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), including the MES Academy, the Crisis Management Center, the Main Department for the Development of Digital Technologies and Innovations, and the High-Risk Rescue Service.
Bilateral meetings were held with delegations from the emergency services of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, and the ICDO.
The Tajik side reaffirmed its commitment to deepening partnerships and emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure public safety amid global challenges and climate change.
