Press Center of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan Reports
DUSHANBE, 19.07.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The Press Center of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan reports that, due to the ongoing complex political and economic situation in the region and globally, there has been an increase in the migration of foreign nationals into the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan.
A significant number of foreign citizens currently reside in Tajikistan for various reasons. Unfortunately, some of them have entered the country illegally. Furthermore, a portion of foreign nationals have grossly violated the established regulations governing their stay in the Republic.
Recent inspections have uncovered multiple violations of the laws of the Republic of Tajikistan committed by foreign nationals, including: illegal trafficking of narcotics, promotion and dissemination of extremist ideologies, submission of false information and forged documents in attempts to obtain refugee status, violations of migration laws, possession of citizenship of a third country, use of Tajikistan as a transit route, and other similar offenses.
In accordance with national legislation, appropriate measures are currently being taken to remove these individuals from the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan. The repatriation of a number of Afghan nationals is also being carried out for these very reasons.
