President Emomali Rahmon participated in opening of Sports Complex named after Lolakhon Kahhorov in Vose district

On October 22, as part of a working visit to Vose district, Khatlon Province, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, put in commission the building of the Sports Complex named after Lolakhon Kahhorov in the village of Zarkamar, Miraliobod rural community.
The new sports facility was built in accordance with the plans and measures of the executive body of the Vose district to celebrate the 35th anniversary of state independence by the patriotic businessman Shokhisrav Kahhorov for a total of 2 million 800 thousand somoni.
The new and modern building consists of two floors and a basement and has various sports halls.
The construction of the sports complex began in 2020, and 16 local residents were employed during the construction work. In the complex, enthusiasts have the opportunity to engage in sports and exercise with the latest equipment.
During the introduction, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that with the commissioning of the modern sports complex, 16 sports specialists have been provided with permanent jobs and good salaries.
The new sports complex is equipped with modern facilities and has the necessary conditions to accommodate more than 80 athletes at a time.
Also, part of the newly built building is planned to house service centers, a language center, and other auxiliary facilities.
After the opening and familiarization with the conditions of the new sports facility, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon highly appreciated the quality of construction work and expressed gratitude to the patriotic entrepreneur Shokhisrav Kahhorov for the construction of such a new and modern facility. At the same time, he instructed the responsible persons to use the existing opportunities effectively and rationally.
It is worth noting that Lolakhon Kahhorov is one of the country’s patriotic and prosperous people, and his contribution to the development of the country’s sports sector, the upbringing of the younger generation, and the progress of the Vose district is very significant.
The aforementioned was born on August 15, 1956 in Vose district of Khatlon Province and is a graduate of the Tajik Institute of Physical Education named after Saidmumin Rahimov. He is an international-level master of sports, winner of several international competitions, and holder of 5 gold medals.
