President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon meets with President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari

On November 4, in Doha, Qatar, on the sidelines of the UN Summit on Social Development, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Honorable Asif Ali Zardari.
During the meeting, a number of issues related to the development of friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries were discussed.
Satisfaction was expressed with the regularity of high-level and summit meetings and their results, which are considered a reflection of the comprehensive cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries.
To strengthen and expand mutually beneficial cooperation, the establishment of a Strategic Dialogue Council, and the intensification of other bilateral instruments were deemed necessary.
Noting the extensive opportunities and resources for enhancing trade, economic, and investment cooperation, it was emphasized that the relevant agencies of the two countries should fully utilize this potential. Strengthening interparliamentary cooperation, including the activities of parliamentary friendship groups, was also deemed beneficial.
