Tajikistan, Iran Discuss Boosting Direct Investment Cooperation

Issues related to attracting direct investment from Iran into priority sectors of Tajikistan’s economy were discussed during a working meeting of government delegations from the two countries, Khovar reported, citing the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan.
The meeting, held at the committee’s headquarters in Dushanbe, brought together government officials as well as entrepreneurs and investors.
Participants included Sulton Rahimzoda, chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan, and Sayyid Muhammad Atabak, Iran’s minister of industry, mines and trade.
The sides discussed expanding cooperation in industry, investment and trade, implementing joint projects, and promoting Iranian direct investment in Tajikistan’s economy. The meeting also served as a platform for dialogue between government agencies and private-sector representatives aimed at strengthening practical economic cooperation.
