The Fourth International Conference of the Dushanbe Water Process, scheduled for May 25–28, 2026, in Dushanbe, will provide an important platform for discussing and showcasing successful examples of water diplomacy and multilateral cooperation.
According to the Dushanbe Water Process Secretariat, participants will exchange experiences in the joint management of transboundary water resources, discuss mechanisms for building trust among states and develop practical approaches that transform water into a factor of peace and sustainable development.
Water is increasingly viewed as a key element of foreign policy and international stability. Water diplomacy helps promote mutually beneficial solutions and supports the integration of water management issues into global sustainable development agendas.
The conference will also offer an opportunity to strengthen international partnerships, expand cooperation among countries, United Nations organizations and the scientific community, and promote initiatives aimed at the efficient and peaceful use of water resources at both transboundary and global levels.
