Tajik Delegation Attends SCO Health Ministers’ Meeting in Bishkek

A Tajik delegation led by Minister of Health and Social Protection Jamoliddin Abdullozoda participated in the ninth meeting of health ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, held in Bishkek on April 20, the ministry’s press center reported.
The meeting brought together health ministry leaders and representatives from SCO member states, as well as Hans Henri P. Kluge, Director of the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe.
Participants discussed a broad range of healthcare development issues, including improving public administration of health systems and strengthening the sustainability of national healthcare systems.
Special attention was given to digital transformation in healthcare, the implementation of modern information systems, the development of telemedicine, and expanding access to medical services.
In his remarks, the Tajik delegation highlighted ongoing healthcare reforms in Tajikistan aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of medical services.
The delegation also emphasized efforts to expand healthcare infrastructure, modernize medical facilities, and improve key public health indicators in the country.
