Tajikistan and Slovenia are planning joint pharmaceutical production in Tajikistan, officials said.

The plan was announced during a meeting between Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Akhliddin Nuriddinzoda and Slovenian Ambassador Alenka Sukhadolnik, the ministry said.

The sides discussed the state of bilateral trade and economic relations, stressing the need to diversify exports and expand trade ties.

They also discussed potential cooperation in pharmaceuticals, hydropower, green technologies, agricultural processing, textiles and information technology.
