On May 19, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, came to Dushanbe International Airport and personally participated in the ceremony of returning the soil from the graves of the glorious sons of the nation, heroes of Tajikistan, Nusratullo Makhsum and Shirinsho Shotemur, as well as the outstanding cultural figure of the nation’s history, Nisor Muhammad.

The direct participation of the Head of State in this historical and spiritual ceremony is a clear sign of the high tribute of the state and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to the history and culture of the nation, freedom and sovereignty, and, of course, to the merits of the sons who gave their lives for the Motherland.

In honor of the welcoming of the soil from the graves of the glorious sons of the nation, the airport was decorated, and soldiers of the Guard of Honor lined up on both sides of the corridor with a red carpet.

In an atmosphere of respect and dignity, after the report of the responsible persons to the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, the soldiers of the Honorary Guard took the boxes containing the soil of the graves of the heroes of Tajikistan, which were covered with the State Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan, off the plane with special respect and carried them to the airport area with a ceremonial procession.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, paid tribute to the historical services of Nusratullo Makhsum, Shirinsho Shotemur, and Nisor Muhammad with deep sincerity in front of the boxes containing their soil.

In these exciting historical moments, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon emphasized that Nusratullo Makhsum and Shirinsho Shotemur are among the founders of the new Tajik statehood and have rendered invaluable services for the survival of the nation, the protection of national interests, the determination of administrative territories, and the establishment of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Indeed, thanks to the State Independence and the special attention of the Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, today the historical merits of the honorable sons of the Motherland are being studied and duly appreciated, and their names and deeds are honored as examples of patriotism, self-awareness, and loyalty and dedication to the state and nation.

This noble initiative is considered a continuation of the cultural, history-making, and humane policy of the Head of State, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and once again proves that in the era of independence, the revival of historical memory, honoring the outstanding sons of the nation, and strengthening national self-awareness have become important directions of state policy.

Then, the delegation of this historical ceremony, accompanied by a team of motorcycle guides, headed to the Central Mosque of Dushanbe.

After the funeral ceremony, the ceremony of burying the remains of the heroes of Tajikistan will be held at the Luchob cemetery in accordance with the traditions of the pure religion of Islam and with special respect.

This historical event will be inscribed in golden letters in the pages of the history of independent Tajikistan as a symbol of the victory of truth, the revival of historical justice, and the honoring of the memory of the faithful sons of the nation.

Now these national heroes, the devoted sons of the ancient Tajik nation, will have their own resting place in their ancestral homeland, dear Tajikistan — the country for which they sacrificed their sweet lives. This initiative will undoubtedly bring peace to the souls and minds of these martyrs of the path to freedom and prove to the present and future generations of dear Tajikistan that the Motherland will never forget the valuable services of its devoted sons, and will be honored, even if it is too late.

Undoubtedly, this tribute and appreciation from the devoted sons of the glorious Tajiks will be eternally inscribed in the pages of history in the name of the beloved Leader, the wise Leader and Guide of the nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.
