On May 26, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received the Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Honorable Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, on the sidelines of the Fourth High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action, «Water for Sustainable Development, 2018–2028.»
During the meeting, bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Bahrain, as well as international and regional issues of mutual interest, were discussed.
Much attention was paid to ways to expand political ties and cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, investment, tourism, development of modern infrastructure, and strengthening cooperation on water and climate issues.
In light of the extremely fragile and complex situation in the Persian Gulf region, the Head of State, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, stated that Tajikistan supports continued political and diplomatic efforts to peacefully resolve this crisis, taking into account the interests of all countries in the region.
