Tajikistan Holds First Meeting of Commission on Population and Development

The first meeting of the Commission on Population and Development under the Government of Tajikistan was held in Dushanbe on June 17, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Dilrabo Mansuri, according to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
The commission was established under a government resolution adopted on March 28, 2026.
During the meeting, participants were briefed on the commission’s regulations, objectives, responsibilities, powers, rights and obligations, working procedures and composition. They also reviewed a preliminary draft of the commission’s roadmap for 2026 and the subsequent period, as well as procedures for its further development.
At the conclusion of the meeting, relevant officials were instructed to submit proposed amendments and additions to the commission’s regulations within the established timeframe.
