On September 11, during the working visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, to the Rasht district, the subsidiary juice production plant of the Food Industry of the Rasht Region was commissioned.

The plant was established with the aim of developing domestic production, processing locally sourced raw materials, increasing the production of import-substituting goods, and supplying the domestic market with high-quality products.

During the visit, President Emomali Rahmon was informed that construction of the facility began in 2023 and was completed in August 2026. A total of 30 specialists were involved in the construction works.

Following the commissioning of the plant, 17 local residents were provided with permanent employment.

The plant is equipped with the necessary production facilities and is designed to produce fruit juice in glass containers with capacities ranging from 0.5 to 1 liter.

President Emomali Rahmon was informed that the plant has a production capacity of 540,000 liters per season and up to 1.2 million liters of products per year.

Raw materials for juice production are supplied by farms in the region, and the finished products will be distributed to residents of surrounding districts as well as other cities and districts of the republic.

The plant also has plans to export its products to foreign markets.

Subsequently, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, commissioned the plant’s cold storage facility.

It was reported that the total area of the cold storage facility is 500 square meters.

The total capacity of the cold storage chambers is 600 tons of products. The plant’s warehouse is designed to store up to 200 tons of products.

The availability of such storage capacity will provide greater opportunities for preserving agricultural products, preventing their loss, creating favorable conditions for processing local raw materials, and supplying the consumer market with fresh domestic products.

It was also reported to President Emomali Rahmon that the construction of a new dried-fruit production plant is planned adjacent to the facility. The new plant is expected to be constructed and commissioned within one year.
