On September 27, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, officially commissioned the new building of Secondary School No. 6, designed for 1,048 students, in the Nosiri Khusrav neighborhood of Khorugh.

The new educational facility was constructed with funding from the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to provide appropriate conditions for teaching and education and to improve the level and quality of learning.

During his review of the facilities, President Emomali Rahmon was informed that particular attention had been paid during the design and construction of the building to the quality of the work, compliance with modern standards, and the use of domestically produced construction materials.

Construction of the modern educational institution began in September 2024 and was completed within a certain timeframe in accordance with modern standards and requirements. During the construction process, 150 local residents were provided with temporary employment.

The school consists of 20 classrooms, 10 administrative and staff rooms, an electronic library, and a number of auxiliary facilities. The classrooms have been provided with the necessary material and technical resources for teaching various subjects, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, information technology, and foreign languages. Each specialized classroom has been equipped according to the nature of the subject and the requirements of the educational curriculum.

The institution currently employs 40 teachers, 95 percent of whom are women. They play an important role in educating a knowledgeable, patriotic, self-aware, and nationally conscious younger generation.

The school also has a cafeteria with 90 seats, a sports hall, and an assembly hall with 170 seats.

The sports hall is equipped with the necessary facilities for various health and physical-education activities, providing students with suitable conditions to engage in physical exercise and develop their athletic skills.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, instructed the relevant officials and teachers to make effective use of the facilities provided, make greater efforts to improve students’ academic performance and teachers’ professional skills, and educate the younger generation in the spirit of national self-awareness, patriotism, and respect for national values.
