Dushanbe, 20.01.2016. (NIAT «Khovar»). — The second joint session of the Majlisi Milli and Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli (both chambers of the parliament) of the fifth convocation took place in Dushanbe today.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity — the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon delivered Annual Address to the joint session of the Majlisi Milli and Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, which has analyzed the current state of Tajikistan’s society and identified the main directions of domestic and foreign policy for 2016 and the medium term.

Speakers of both chambers of Parliament, members of the Majlisi Milli and Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan after the beginning of joint meeting came to Kokhi Somon, governmental residence, to listen to the next Annual Address of the President.

The Prime Minister, members of the Government, persons in charge of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, heads of ministries and state committees and departments under the President and Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, central judiciary and other law enforcement agencies, the Academy of Sciences, and higher educational institutions, the chairmen of the regions, cities and districts, heads of centers for implementation of investment projects, the members of the Public Council, as well as Movement of National Unity and Revival of Tajikistan, representatives of public associations, political parties and members of the creative teams, heads of enterprises and institutions, banks, and large and active private companies, as well representatives of the diplomatic corps, the media and initiative youth attended the address meeting.
