Foreign Minister Aslov Meets with Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Teaotia of India
Dushanbe, 15.01.2016. (NIAT «Khovar»). — Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Aslov received Commerce Secretary, first deputy Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Government of India. Ms. Teaotia is also co-chairperson of the Tajikistan-India intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation on 14 January 2016, who is on a working visit to Tajikistan.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, the two sides discussed the progress of implementation of agreements reached during a meeting of the leaders of the two countries in Dushanbe in July 2015 and ways of expansion of bilateral mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation.
They reportedly highly appraised the work of the economic cooperation commission and intensification of contacts between branch ministries and business circles of the two countries.
Tajik minister and Indian commerce secretary also discussed a number of other issues being of mutual interest.
