FAO National Workshop in Dushanbe
Dushanbe, 15.02.2016. (NIAT “Khovar”). — The issues of improving pesticides registration systems will be discussed during FAO National Workshop, which will be held on 18 February in Dushanbe.
The objective of the workshop is to present the outcomes of the study on pesticide management in Tajikistan and discussion of follow-up possibilities of strengthening pesticide registration and the quality control system.
It is expected that 20 specialists from related state agencies and international FAO partner-organizations will participate in this event.
A wide range of issues related to pesticide life-cycle management, particularly, improving the pesticide registration system, drafting regulations , developing and publishing the Catalogue of Registered Pesticides will be discussed in the workshop.
The event is organized under FAO project “Support on introduction and use of strategies on Integrated Plant Protection for prioritize field and horticultural crops in Tajikistan”, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, and Committee on protecting environment under Government of Tajikistan.
