Meeting of the Tajik Leader with Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces
Dushanbe, 16.03.2016 (NIAT «Khovar»). – Discussion of the development and expansion of friendly relations and cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates took place in a meeting of H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces HH Sh. Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
Abu Dhabi Crown Prince welcomed the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon for an official visit.
«Tajikistan pays special attention to the development of friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation with the UAE and we are generally satisfied with the current state of bilateral cooperation between our countries», — said the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
Parties have expressed their expectations that the new documents of cooperation which will be signed in the course of this visit in the fields of policy, security, education, sports and tourism will improve the legal framework of relations between our countries.
During the meeting, issues of attracting foreign investment for the construction of a number of hydropower facilities of various scales, improving the transport infrastructure through the construction of ground-based roads, bridges, tunnels, development of production and processing of agricultural products were discussed.
A constructive discussion took place on the expansion of scientific and cultural ties, joint production and commercial enterprises in the fields of light and food industry, processing of precious and decorative stones, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
