Pakistan’s Prime Minister to visit Dushanbe on May
Dushanbe, 18.03.2016. (NIAT «Khovar») — Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif during a meeting with the Speaker of the Tajik Parliament Shukurjon Zuhurov in Islamabad has confirmed his participation at the opening ceremony of the CASA-1000 power transmission line construction works, which will take place in May of this year in Tajikistan.
During the meeting Pakistani Prime Minister highly evaluated the mutually beneficial economic cooperation between Dushanbe and Islamabad and stressed the importance of the official start of construction of a large project CASA-1000 for Pakistan and other countries in the region.
“We were pleased to hear about the decision of the Tajik side for a raise to the plan CASA-1000 more than 1,000 MW of additional electricity to Pakistan, and received your country’s decision as a gift”, — said Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
He has valued Tajikistan as one of the main trade and economic partners of Pakistan in Central Asia and stressed that Pakistan is ready to invest in various projects in Tajikistan and to contribute to the economic development of friendly country.
Prime Minister of Pakistan has commented the visit of high-level Tajikistan’s parliamentary delegation to Pakistan as a confident step in strengthening cooperation between the two friendly countries.
