Dushanbe, 01.03.2016. (NIAT “Khovar”). — On February 29, 2016 the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United States of America with the cooperation of the Washington Intergovernmental Professional Group and Office for Trade Promotion organized a special event at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade with participation of US officials, business representatives, scientists and researchers to introduce trade and investment opportunities of Tajikistan.

During the event participants were provided with detailed information about investment opportunities in Tajikistan, particularly in the water-energy, communication, tourism and agriculture sectors. In this regard, the initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon were highlighted. Additional information on three strategic goals of Tajikistan: ensuring energy independence, break in the communication deadlock and food security has been provided.
