November 16 announced the Day of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan
Dushanbe, 15.04.2016./NIAT “Khovar”/. Henceforth, November 16 will be annually celebrated in the country as the Day of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan without holiday. In this regard, the deputies of Majlisi namoyandagon of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan today on April 15, 2016 have discussed and approved the proposal of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on amendment to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On holidays”.
It should be noted that on November 16, 1992 in the city of Khujand in the conditions for the Tajik nation extremely sensitive, difficult and fateful was held the XVI session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, and in that fateful session by the deputies Emomali Rahmon was elected as the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan and in 1994 on the basis of the presidential election as the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
It was noted that the draft of this law is developed taking into account the valuable contribution and great services of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon in the formation of modern statehood of the country, revival of the national government, promotion of peace, unity and enhancement of the authority of Tajikistan in international arena.
