Director of the Drug Control Agency meets with Ambassador of Russia to Tajikistan
Dushanbe, 30.05.2016 / NIAT «Khovar» /. Director of the Drug Control Agency under the President of Tajikistan Sherkhon Salimzoda met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Tajikistan Igor Lyakin-Frolov today in Dushanbe.
According to the DCA press center, at the meeting the sides highly praised the cooperation level between Tajikistan and Russia in the area of drug control and conducting joint anti-drug activities.
They also discussed issues of further implementation of the «Agreement between the DCA under the President of Tajikistan and the Federal Drug Control Service of Russiato assist DCA in combating illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors» in the 2015-2017 period.
Ambassador, noting positive trends of cooperation between the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan and the Agency for Drug Control under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan lately, praised the Agency’s efforts to combat drug trafficking.
