Finance Minister and IMF discussed the issues of budget implementation in 2016
Dushanbe, 13.05.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdusalom Qurboniyon has met with the International Monetary Fund mission led by chief of mission Paul Ross here in Dushanbe.
According to the press centre of the Finance Ministry, during the meeting the parties have paid special attention to issues of financial — tax and banking policy, as well as the continuation of joint work on issues of budget implementation in 2016.
Paul Ross has shared his opinion regarding the results of the mission’s work, presenting its recommendations and suggestions. It should be noted that the mission has carried out the necessary discussions on the main directions of economic policy with the relevant departments of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Finance Minister has noted that during the period of cooperation with the IMF, particularly in terms of reforms in the financial sectors of the Republic of Tajikistan, significant progress has been made.
