Foreign Minister receives credentials of the newly appointed Indian Ambassador in Tajikistan
Dushanbe, 15.07.2016. /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov received today a copy of credentials of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Tajikistan Somnath Ghosh.
According to the Tajik MFA Information Department, during the meeting the parties discussed the state and prospects of development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and India.
Particular attention has been paid to the ways of practical implementation of agreements reached between the leaders of the two countries in July last year in Dushanbe.
Foreign minister expressed hope that the newly appointed Ambassador of India would make a great contribution to the further development and strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two friendly countries.
Ambassador Somnath Ghosh noted that Tajikistan is a priority in the foreign policy of India and assured Minister Aslov that he would make every effort to deepen cooperation based on the principles of friendship and partnership between Tajikistan and India.
Aslov wished the new Ambassador of India success in his diplomatic mission in Tajikistan.
