Four people allegedly plotting terror attacks detained in Kazakhstan
Dushanbe, 22.08.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Four members a radical group, allegedly plotting a chain of terror attacks in the country, have been detained by officers of the Kazakh National Security Committee (NSC), its press service reported on Monday, saying the four were detained on August 18. TASS news agency reported.
«Components for making self-made explosive devices and religious extremist materials were seized from the detained members of the group, who are Kazakh and Kyrgyz nationals,» the press service said.
It said they were planning armed attacks on officers and garrisons of NSC, police and military. According to the secret services, at a next stage extremists were planning terrorist attacks at places of mass congestion.
The press service said investigative work continued.
