Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Yusuf Rahmon visits Saudi Arabia
Dushanbe, 24.08.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Yusuf Rahmon, within the framework of his working visit to Saudi Arabia, has met with the Deputy Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura of Saudi Arabia Dr. Mohammed bin Amin Al-Jafri in Riyadh.
According to the Embassy of Tajikistan in Saudi Arabia, during the meeting the parties have discussed the issues of mutually rewarding cooperation between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia in various fields.
Deputy Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura of Saudi Arabia assessed this meeting as an important factor in the development of cooperation between authorities of the countries in the path to further expansion.
Yusuf Rahmon, in his turn, expressed his satisfaction with the strengthening of relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia, which meet the common interests of both countries.
The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Yusuf Rahmon has also met in the course of his visit with the Prosecutor General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdullah, Chairman of Supreme Court of this country Sheikh Ghayhab bin Muhammad bin Abdullah al-Ghayhab, Chairman of Ministers’ Cabinet, Chairman of the Board of Grievances Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Yousef and the Deputy Minister of Justice of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Dr. Mansour bin Yusuf al-Ghaffari.
The issues of mutually beneficial cooperation of both countries and other topical themes of international agenda have also been discussed at constructive talks. Special attention was paid to the development of cooperation in the field of combating terrorism and extremism.
We will recall that on January 2, 2016, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon paid a working visit to Saudi Arabia. During the visit, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon had constructive meetings with senior leaders of this country, and discussed the issues to develop and strengthen friendly relations and cooperation.
Following the top level talks between the two countries 5 documents of cooperation were signed.
