CIS Summit in Bishkek will focus mainly on security and defense issues
The issues of security and defense will be discussed at the CIS Summit in Bishkek, Sapar Isakov, the head of the foreign policy department of the Kyrgyz President’s Office told on Wednesday at a briefing here in Bishkek.
«We are preparing to conduct the jubilee CIS Summit on September 16, where very important documents will be adopted. The agenda included 15 items. The heads of states will also made an appropriate statement on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the CIS Council. This is a very respectable event. The most important decisions are taken within the framework of this Council,» Isakov said.
He also said, that the main item on the agenda of the CIS Summit will be the fight against terrorism and extremism.
