CESCD delegation attends the international meeting in Moscow
Dushanbe, 16.11.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. A delegation of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense /CESCD/ under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan headed by the First Deputy Chairman of CESCD Rustam Shohiyon takes part in the meeting of Interstate Council on emergency situations of natural and technogenic character of the CIS States that is being held in Moscow. NIAT “Khovar” reports citing the message of the press center of CESCD.
“The meeting attendees will discuss the activities of the Council in 2015-2016 and measures to improve cooperation, Action Plan of control checks of mutual notification of CIS States on emergency situations of natural and technogenic character, as well as the issue of election of the Chairman of the structure”, — stated the message.
In addition, in order to improve the legal framework for bilateral cooperation, Council members will consider the issues relating to the implementation of the Action Plan on the implementation of the third stage (2016-2020) of CIS economic development strategy for the period up to 2020.
“The meeting participants will be informed about the progress of implementation of decisions of CIS Supreme bodies and Interstate Council on emergency situations of natural and technogenic character”, — the source added, and concluded that it is also planned to discuss the issue of cross-border cooperation within the framework of CIS on the prevention of emergency situations of transboundary character.
