Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon attended and spoke at the International Exhibition of the Association of Painters for Peace “Pearls of Silk Road”.

The international exhibition was held at the National Museum of Tajikistan, and to this end, the museum was festively decorated. Works by painters from 30 countries were displayed at the international exhibition.

President Emomali Rahmon congratulated all the participants on this exhibition, noted the role of the fine arts, spoke about its development and contribution of artists in promoting the ideas of culture.

It was emphasized that the artists along with the fact that among the workers of culture and art are the promoters of culture are considered as messengers of peace and friendship and in their paintings call humanity for goodness and virtue, generosity and nobility, honor and dignity.

At the end of his speech President Emomali Rahmon expressed hope that artists will take advantage of this opportunity and as much as possible will use the colorful landscapes of our country, will place in their works images of different parts of our country.

Then, on behalf of the delegation of the guests and participants of the exhibition the head of the Center for Cultural Exchange «Tourism for Peace» Mr. Shao Changchun delivered a speech, who expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests for their participation in this event. Sh. Changchun presented the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, as the messenger of lasting peace and unity of the Tajiks, with a unique painting on behalf of the International Association of Painters for Peace.

At the International Exhibition six artists-painters were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals for achieving the highest world-class success. President Emomali Rahmon took a joint photo with the painters.

On the second floor of the National Museum of Tajikistan, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon with foreign guests and artists visited the museum of gifts of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
