Permanent Representative Mahmadaminov: Afghanistan needs support
Dushanbe, 21.11.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Mahmadamin Mahmadaminov, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations On November 17 has attended the meeting of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly and delivered a statement on the situation in Afghanistan, according to MFA Information Department.
The Ministry reports that in his statement, the Permanent Representative praised the common view of all UN member-states towards the importance of peace and stability in Afghanistan and noted that peace and stability and socio-economic rehabilitation of Afghanistan are crucial for the development and prosperity of the entire region.
“The Permanent Representative also noted the engagement of Tajikistan in the rehabilitation of the social and economic spheres and infrastructure of Afghanistan through connecting the transport arteries of the two countries, as well as creating an “energy bridge” CASA-1000 and providing essential commodities and training of specialists of this neighboring country”, — concludes the message of the Ministry.
