Director of NIAT “Khovar” meets Turkish Ambassador in Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 20.12.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Today in the Press Center of the NIAT “Khovar” Director of Agency Saidali Siddiq has met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey in Tajikistan Ali Rifat Koksal.
During the meeting an exchange of views took place on good relations between the two friendly countries – the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Turkey. It was stated that the media have an effective role in strengthening cultural and economic relations between the two countries. In this regard, the submission of accurate, right and impartial information is acceptable.
The two sides have proudly reminded the common heritage of Jaloliddini Balkhii Rumi, whose shrine in Konya city was visited by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon in the course of his visit to Turkey.
Ali Rifat Koksal, having reminded with regrets about the acts of terrorism committed by hostile forces in Turkey, including about assassination of the Russian Ambassador in Ankara, noted that such acts can not stop Turkey in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
“We want that the people of Tajikistan know about our regret regarding what happened yesterday in Ankara”, — said Ambassador and noted that “This assassination attempt is directed against Turkish-Russian relations”. He said that Tajikistan and Turkey will continue and strengthen cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism for ensuring peace and stability in the region and the world.
During the meeting the two parties had also an exchange of views on development of cooperation in the field of culture and art, as well as on constructive cooperation between Tajik-Turkish news agencies.
