Parliament discussed the Development Programme of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2016-2020
DUSHANBE, 27.12.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The medium-term Development Programme of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2016-2020 has been considered yesterday, December 26, at the meeting of the Council of Majlisi namoyandagon under the chairmanship of parliament speaker, Shukurjon Zuhurov. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the press secretary of Lower House of the Parliament of the country Muhammadato Sultonov.
“Medium-term Development Programme of the Republic of Tajikistan” defines the objectives, priorities, tasks and direction of the work in order to move to new qualitative economic development model. New model provides rapid development of industry, agriculture and the financial sector, opens the way to new export markets, limits the consumer imports and reduces the country’s dependence on remittances.
The draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On introducing amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tajikistan” has also been discussed at the meeting.
