Tajik FM Aslov and U.S. Ambassador Millard discuss current states of bilateral relations
DUSHANBE, 05.01.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Sirodjidin ASLOV, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan on January 4 has received Ms. Elisabeth MILLARD, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Tajikistan here in Dushanbe. NIAT Khovar has been reported at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.
“During the meeting the sides discussed the current states of bilateral relations between the two countries in the spheres of mutual interest”, — says ministry and adds that “they exchanged views on the issues of regional cooperation”.
It should be noted that diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the United States of America were established on February 14, 1992. For the period of establishment of bilateral relations between the U.S. Government and the Government of Tajikistan 30 documents on trade and economy, in the fields of military-technical cooperation, combating terrorism and illegal drugs trafficking have been signed.
