Tajikistan, Korea to strengthen bilateral relations
DUSHANBE, 10.01.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Yusuf Sharifzoda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Korea met with Kim Tae Joon, Vice President of «Korean Air» on Monday, January 9, MFA Information Department reports.
“During the meeting the two sides have discussed issues of strengthening of bilateral relations, as well as the possibility of carrying out direct flights between Dushanbe-Seoul-Dushanbe”, — it says in the ministry’s statement.
Recall that diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea were established on April 27, 1992. Political, trade and economic relations between the two countries are based on agreements in the field of mutual trade and investment promotion, waiver of mutual requirements for obtaining visas for the holders of diplomatic and service passports.
It should be noted that formed in 2007, the Forum on Cooperation between Central Asia and the Republic of Korea substantially contributes to the development of bilateral relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea. Each year various issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation are discussed in the framework of the Forum.
