President Emomali Rahmon meets Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Investment Authority, Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Thani in Doha
In the framework of his official visit to Doha, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon met with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Qatar Investment Authority, Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Thani.
The two sides talked over issues of strengthening further active cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar Investment Authority.
They also touched upon the participation of Qatari economic and investment circles in the implementation of small and large-scale national and regional projects in Tajikistan.
Mutual trust was named an important factor for the establishment of bilateral cooperation, and it was stressed that the Tajik side is interested in attracting investments of the Qatar Investment Authority for the implementation of small and large-scale projects in the field of energy, agriculture, and mining processing of minerals, launching of joint ventures and the growth of tourism infrastructure.
To improve the investment and economic cooperation, the sides called an important step to establish the Qatari Foundation for Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, the Consulting Company and Qatari Investment Bank in Tajikistan.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on issues of investment and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar Investment Authority, in particular, in the priority areas of hydropower, transport and tourism.
